The cascading mist from the waterfall softly rushed towards me as I approached this waterfall deep in the mountains. I stood far from the falls with a telephoto lens mounted to a tripod. The mist blew off the cascading waterfall straight towards me, soaking my camera gear almost instantly. By using a telephoto lens from a far enough distance away from the waterfall, I was able to quickly capture a long exposure of the silver wall of water that fell off the hundreds of little ledges of rock. Around here the water lilies typically only bloom for 3 to 5 days, opening during the day and closing at night. On rare occasion during a full moon they can remain open all night. A storm was rolling in late last summer so I decided to head down to the old barn by my house to try to shoot some lightning strikes. I set my camera up on a timer and began taking a time lapse of the storm rolling in. The light was quickly growing darker and darker when suddenly multiple flashes of lightening struck simultaneously. Upon returning home I found this image in the sequence of images during the time lapse. The lightening lit the ground up enough to show a decent amount of detail in the barn. This image ended up getting featured on a local weather station of ours and has been one of my best sellers to date. Such a rare capture like this only happens once in a lifetime. An amazing image of Grächen at night. In 2018 I backpacked through the highest mountains in the Alps on a photography expedition for 10 days while carrying everything I needed to survive on my back. I walked through the countries of France, Italy, and Switzerland following several different hiking routes. These routes included the Tour Du Mont Blanc and the Europaweg, two of the finest hikes in Europe. The Europaweg is considered by many to be the best hike in Switzerland, and one of the most scenic in the entire world. It traverses between the towns of Zermatt and Grächen. Grächen is an alpine village in Switzerland near Zermatt. Its situated above St. Niklaus in the Matter Valley. At the end of our trip we stayed in this small chalet in Grächen overlooking the mountains. This was the epic view of the night sky over the mountains from our front porch. I took this image from my campsite while hiking the entire Tahoe Rim Trail, a 210 mile trail that circumnavigates Lake Tahoe. The clarity of The Milky Way in the Sierra Nevada Mountains is incredible. It’s easily seen with the naked eye due to low levels of light pollution within the mountain range. I contemplated waiting for him to move, but in a moment of curiosity an impulse told me to press the shutter button. These wildflowers only stood 4 inches tall, forcing me to use an advanced landscape photography technique called focus stacking. With the front element of my lens only a few inches from the flowers, I took multiple images with different focus points in order to obtain perfect sharpness from the foreground all the way to the background. Tiny clover flowers cling to the edge of a cliff overlooking the mountains during sunset. The rolling mountains stretched as far as the eye could see until they faded into the horizon. The wildflowers only stood a couple inches tall, forcing me to use an advanced landscape photography technique called focus stacking. By placing the front element of my lens very close to the flowers, I was able to emphasize this small element in nature and use it as an incredible foreground. Photo © Copywrite by Jared Weber. One of the most incredible sunsets I’ve ever had the opportunity to witness. These amazing sun rays exploded out of the clouds, casting the last light of the day across these rare rock formations on the California Coast. These are the most stunning tide pools in the San Diego area, and some of the most unique in the entire world. Due to the orientation of the coastline facing west, this is one of the best areas in Southern California to watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
